Lead/ Principal Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Summary

The Lead/ Principal Forward Deployed Engineer at Salesforce is responsible for designing, building, and deploying complex agentic AI solutions within enterprise customer environments. This role leads technical delivery, mentors engineers, and collaborates closely with Deployment Strategists to ensure successful AI implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical ownership of AI solution delivery in partnership with Deployment Strategists.
• Utilize AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Salesforce coding products to support engineering workflows.
• Influence product roadmaps by providing field insights from customer deployments.
• Innovate continuously by piloting new AI tools, models, and frameworks.
• Design and deploy agentic AI systems on the Agentforce platform including agent logic, orchestration, and integration patterns.
• Manage data lifecycle aspects including model design and data pipelines across platforms like Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues such as data integration failures and performance regressions.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and collaborative work, and develop reusable assets and frameworks.

Must haves

• 6+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex, with familiarity in others.
• Experience integrating LLMs into production and using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, including prompt engineering and responsible AI practices.
• Strong background in data modeling, processing, and analytics on platforms such as Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform technologies including Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset focused on fast, impactful delivery with sound judgment.
• Experience mentoring technical talent and creating reusable frameworks and playbooks.
• Effective communication with engineering peers, customer architects, and executives.
• Active engagement with evolving AI and data technologies.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Business level proficiency in Arabic and English.

Nice to haves

• Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Agentforce Specialist, or System Architect.
• Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD, observability tools, or data governance frameworks.
• Experience architecting multi-cloud, multi-system enterprise AI solutions for Global 500 customers.
• Proven influence on enterprise software product roadmaps through field engineering insights.
• Contributions to open-source, technical publications, or conference presentations.
