Senior Product Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Product Engineer role based in Riyadh involves developing software products used daily by thousands of students. The position focuses on delivering reliable systems, leveraging AI tools, and collaborating closely with product managers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire code lifecycle from design through delivery and monitoring.
• Encourage and implement best practices for continuous improvement.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to support system reliability.
• Identify and resolve system bottlenecks to enhance efficiency and reduce complexity.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member.
• Build and deliver products end-to-end.
• Work directly with product managers and designers to enable rapid development cycles.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new tools and methodologies.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude, independently identifying and driving solutions.
• Experience using AI coding tools like Cursor, Codex, or Antigravity to accelerate development.
• Commitment to promoting best practices and incremental improvements.
• Bonus: Experience building scalable backend web services.
• Bonus: Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS.
