DevOps Engineer (4 Months contract)

Job Summary

This role involves building and maintaining reliable deployment pipelines, enhancing operational stability, and addressing production and environment challenges for a Saudi organization on a remote basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines including build, testing, deployment, and release verification.
• Support development, test, and production environments with configuration and access management aligned with security standards.
• Ensure deployments are repeatable and document release, rollback, and recovery procedures.
• Enhance monitoring, logging, and alerts to detect performance and stability issues.
• Investigate deployment and environment failures, coordinate fixes with developers, and document root causes and prevention measures.
• Prepare documentation such as pipeline/configuration guides, runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials to support ongoing operations.

Must haves

• 3–7 years of relevant experience in DevOps, platform, or software operations.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD implementation and application environment operations, including real releases and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of source control, scripting, and configuration management.
• Understanding of credentials, secrets, and deployment permissions.
• Ability to implement and explain monitoring and logging, identify useful alerts, and differentiate application from environment issues.
• Capability to document operational procedures and coordinate changes with Engineering and QA teams within approved designs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes.
• Relevant CI/CD or container certifications or experience.
• Experience with major cloud or enterprise hosting platforms.
• .NET application deployment experience.
• Experience with self-hosted n8n operations.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
• Arabic communication skills relevant to the assignment.
