Customer Engineer Thermal

Job Summary

The Customer Engineer Thermal based in Saudi Arabia is responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting thermal management systems primarily in KSA, with secondary support to the wider Middle East region.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and start-up precision cooling and thermal management equipment including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and condensers.
• Conduct scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance following OEM standards and customer SLAs.
• Diagnose and fix complex faults in thermal systems, refrigeration circuits, controls, and BMS integration.
• Provide technical support and emergency response for critical data center and telecom environments in KSA.
• Offer field support to other Middle East countries (UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq) as needed or on rotation.
• Prepare detailed service reports, site assessments, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with regional teams, project managers, and channel partners to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Support warranty claims, spare parts identification, and escalation processes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience servicing precision cooling or thermal management systems, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure settings.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, psychrometrics, and HVAC controls.
• Experience with Vertiv (Liebert) thermal products is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with BMS integration and remote monitoring platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Refrigerant handling certification; F-Gas or equivalent is a plus.
• English language proficiency required; Arabic is a strong advantage.
• Valid driving license and ability to obtain Saudi Iqama/work permit.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% within KSA and up to 20% across the Middle East.
