Lead Observability and Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary

This role involves leading the observability and site reliability efforts at Riyadh Air, ensuring end-to-end visibility, reliability, and performance across a complex digital ecosystem including mobile apps, cloud services, and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage enterprise-wide observability standards to ensure traceability and continuous improvement of all components.
• Lead proactive detection and resolution of issues to embed reliability in all processes.
• Design, build, and maintain a highly reliable global SaaS integration platform supporting multi-cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams while working autonomously.
• Utilize observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Datadog for monitoring and analysis.
• Drive automation initiatives to enhance platform performance and business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate observability insights into product and service improvements.
• Define standards and optimize platforms to support seamless customer experiences and resilience.

Requirements

• Degree qualified.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Observability and Site Reliability Engineering within enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Knowledge of metrics, logs, and traces correlation.
• Experience with mobile and web observability.
