Co-Founder & Capital & Finance Lead

Job Summary

The Co-Founder & Capital & Finance Lead will be responsible for leading the capital raising, financial structuring, and investor relations for Makan, a venture under Sanabil Studio. This role involves managing the financial model, structuring funds, and working closely with co-founders and investment committees to secure and manage capital.

Responsibilities

• Raise and structure debt and equity financing from funding partners.
• Manage the financial model, including ROI calculations and capital stack structuring.
• Develop term sheets, waterfalls, and fee economics for institutional investors, family offices, or LPs.
• Lead investor relations activities such as pitching, negotiating, and closing commitments from LOI to signed agreements.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and fund structuring from SPV to CMA-licensed fund, including investor reporting.
• Collaborate with co-founder to define and implement Makan’s go-to-market and capital strategies.
• Represent the venture before the Sanabil Studio Investment Committee and institutional LPs.
• Recruit and lead the founding team across commercial, operations, and product areas.

Requirements

• Experience raising debt and/or equity for funds, SPVs, or real-asset-backed vehicles in roles such as fund manager, investment banker, or capital markets professional.
• Experience structuring term sheets, waterfalls, or fee economics for institutional investors, family offices, or LPs.
• Understanding of how Saudi family offices, capitals, and banks evaluate real-asset-backed instruments and close commitments.
• Ability to build and defend financial models, calculate ROI, and structure capital stacks.
• Experience leading fundraising or capital-raising functions, including investor reporting and governance.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi capital markets and regulatory environment (SAMA, CMA).
• Currently based in or willing to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Saudi Nationals preferred.
• Bonus: Relationships with anchor LPs or family offices, experience with sukuk issuance or structured private placements, or prior venture studio experience.
