Voice and Collaboration Engineer

Job Summary

The Voice and Collaboration Engineer will join CrossRealms Middle East’s international team to manage the full lifecycle of voice and collaboration projects, including deployment, integration, troubleshooting, and support for clients in the U.S. and MENA region.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain unified communications solutions using 3CX, Microsoft Teams Phone, and Zoom Phone.
• Configure PBX systems, SBCs, call routing, IVR, and multi-site setups.
• Support migrations from legacy systems like Cisco UCM/Unity Connection to cloud and hybrid platforms.
• Provision and troubleshoot IP phones, softphones, and paging systems.
• Manage voice services on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Deploy and support voice solutions on AWS, Azure, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot voice and network issues using logs, packet captures, and tools such as Wireshark.
• Develop and maintain API integrations between voice platforms and CRM, helpdesk, and business applications.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 0-2 years of practical experience in VoIP, telephony, or unified communications.
• Experience with at least one UC platform such as 3CX, Microsoft Teams Phone, or Zoom Phone.
• Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, DNS, QoS, VLANs, Gateways, and firewall configurations.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Proficient written and spoken English for communication with international clients.

Nice to haves

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or firewall-related credentials.
• 3CX Academy or Microsoft Teams Voice certifications.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Experience using Wireshark and performing packet analysis.
