Technical Architect

Job Summary

The Technical Architect at Al-Ma’bar For Contracting in Amman is responsible for developing and managing architectural technical documentation across all project phases, focusing on Revit, BIM coordination, construction drawings, detailing, and as-built documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed architectural drawings and construction documents using Autodesk Revit.
  • Maintain coordinated BIM models throughout various project stages.
  • Develop architectural models and documentation from design development to construction, handover, and LOD 600/as-built documentation.
  • Prepare detailed shop drawings, construction drawings, sections, elevations, schedules, and as-built drawings.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements for technical accuracy and consistency.
  • Coordinate architectural models and drawings with structural, MEP, interior design, and other disciplines.
  • Identify and resolve clashes, design conflicts, and constructability issues before and during execution.
  • Incorporate site modifications, RFIs, consultant comments, and approved changes into project models and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit for architectural modeling and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, model coordination, and LOD requirements including LOD 600.
  • Experience preparing construction drawings, shop drawings, architectural details, and as-built documentation.
  • Knowledge of architectural detailing, materials, finishes, construction methods, and site execution.
  • Ability to coordinate architectural work with MEP and structural disciplines.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks is advantageous.
  • Understanding of project documentation, drawing control, revisions, RFIs, submittals, and technical coordination.
  • Experience in contracting, construction, fit-out, or project-based environments is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams between design office and construction site.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Amman, Jordan.

Nice to haves

  • Experience managing projects from design development and BIM modeling through construction, as-built documentation, and final handover.
