Cloud Architect

Job Summary

The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing and managing secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures. This role supports cloud strategy, adoption, migration, modernization, governance, security, and integration with enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise cloud architecture aligned with business strategy and technology direction
• Define cloud strategy, adoption approaches, and target cloud architecture
• Design secure and scalable cloud landing zones for enterprise workloads
• Develop architectures for public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
• Assess workloads for cloud suitability, migration, and modernization opportunities
• Design cloud networking, identity, access management, security, monitoring, and operational architecture
• Support cloud governance, subscription structures, policy enforcement, and tagging standards
• Collaborate with various architecture and technology teams and conduct architecture reviews

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, solution architecture, or related fields
• 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture or a similar senior cloud design role
• Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid-cloud environments
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, landing zones, governance, security, networking, and identity architecture
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud or digital transformation programs
• Strong collaboration with technology teams, cybersecurity teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of enterprise cloud architecture, cloud-native architecture, container and Kubernetes architecture, and FinOps principles
• Familiarity with frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and cloud adoption frameworks
• Exposure to cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and tools including Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and professional cloud architecture certifications are highly desirable
