Job Summary

The Remote Quality Assurance Engineer at Spotter Labs ensures software products function correctly within realistic trucking and logistics scenarios, combining industry knowledge with software testing.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed test plans and cases.
• Conduct manual testing on web and mobile platforms.
• Validate features using practical trucking and logistics situations.
• Report and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with developers to deliver timely feedback.
• Execute regression tests following updates and fixes.
• Analyze testing outcomes and communicate progress.
• Enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies continuously.

Must haves

• Extensive experience in the trucking industry.
• Strong knowledge of trucking operations, logistics, workflows, and safety.
• Basic understanding of software QA methods and testing procedures.
• High attention to detail.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to document issues clearly and communicate with technical teams.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Nice to haves

• Experience with Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with Git or Git GUI tools.
