Senior Solution Architect

Job Summary

The Senior Solution Architect designs scalable, secure, and business-aligned technology solutions by translating business and functional requirements into comprehensive architectures. The role ensures alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security, integration, data, technology direction, and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into complete solution architectures.
• Create high-level designs covering applications, integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, security, and deployment.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and technology strategies.
• Evaluate solution options and recommend approaches based on value, feasibility, scalability, security, interoperability, and cost.
• Define integration requirements, interfaces, APIs, messaging patterns, and system dependencies.
• Identify data requirements, information flows, ownership, and integration with enterprise data platforms.
• Specify infrastructure, hosting, cloud, network, resilience, availability, and disaster recovery needs.
• Incorporate cybersecurity, privacy, identity, access control, and compliance into solution architecture.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, solution design, software engineering, infrastructure, integration, cloud, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in solution architecture or a similar senior architecture role.
• Proven experience designing complex enterprise solutions involving multiple applications, systems, platforms, and integrations.
• Experience with large-scale transformation, digital, modernization, or enterprise technology programs.
• Strong knowledge of current-state assessment and target-state solution architecture.
• Experience collaborating with senior business and technology stakeholders in complex organizations.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, cloud architecture frameworks, API and integration patterns, microservices, event-driven architecture, SABSA, ITIL, and DevOps/DevSecOps concepts.
• Exposure to enterprise architecture tools like Bizzdesign, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Orbus/iServer, ARIS, or similar.
• Experience with major cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of API management, integration, middleware, messaging technologies, modern application platforms, containerization, orchestration, and architecture documentation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• TOGAF and cloud architecture certifications are highly desirable; other relevant certifications are advantageous.
