Job Summary

This full-time, on-site freelance programmer role in Riyadh Region involves configuring, coding, and testing control system software for professional audio and video systems. The position requires collaboration with project teams to ensure system performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Configure and program control system software for AV equipment including signal routing and device management.
• Review system designs and translate functional specifications into code.
• Integrate control systems with back-end services or APIs.
• Troubleshoot issues during installation and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with project managers, AV engineers, and technicians to meet performance standards.
• Prepare documentation for system configurations, workflows, and maintenance.
• Provide technical support and perform system updates.
• Optimize system performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Computer Science including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in programming and object-oriented programming for control systems.
• Experience in software development including coding, debugging, testing, and version control.
• Knowledge of back-end web development and API or network device integration is beneficial.
• Familiarity with professional audio and video systems, signal flow, and AV equipment protocols such as Dante, HDBaseT, and control over IP is an advantage.
• Experience with AV control platforms and scripting like Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, system schematics, and functional specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional environment.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
