Design Engineer

Job Summary

The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing fiber optic products and systems at Technical Fiber Optics Lines Co in Amman. This full-time role involves creating engineering drawings, collaborating with teams, and supporting prototype testing.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed engineering drawings and models for fiber optic products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements.
• Perform design calculations to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Prepare technical documentation related to designs.
• Support prototype builds and testing activities.
• Participate in design reviews to address technical issues.
• Assist in improving existing designs and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Provide technical input to manufacturing and operations teams.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design.
• Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles for product and component design.
• Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling and drafting.
• Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts related to fiber optic systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) or equivalent experience.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site in Amman.
• Experience in fiber optics, telecommunications, or related industries is advantageous.
