Job Summary

This role at EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) in Riyadh focuses on supporting the sustainability practice growth, especially within Energy and Industrials sectors. The position combines technical expertise with strategic consulting to develop client relationships and new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Use structured problem-solving to identify client challenges and create practical, value-driven solutions.
• Oversee workstreams on multiple client projects, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and coordination with senior staff.
• Establish trusted relationships with client stakeholders and engage in senior-level discussions in Energy and Industrials.
• Prepare clear and persuasive client materials including presentations, proposals, reports, and executive summaries.
• Spot and develop business opportunities by understanding client needs and supporting project conversion.
• Contribute to proposals, pitches, account planning, market analysis, thought leadership, and go-to-market activities.
• Advise clients on various sustainability topics such as climate strategy, ESG, decarbonisation, circular economy, waste management, water stewardship, sustainable supply chains, and sustainability reporting.
• Support climate risk and disclosure work, including IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, when relevant.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in engineering, environmental science, sustainability, economics, business, public policy, or related field; advanced degrees are advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in sustainability, climate change, ESG, strategy, consulting, or related areas.
• Experience across multiple sustainability topics within Energy and Industrials sectors.
• Proven ability to develop client deliverables, presentations, proposals, and executive communications.
• Demonstrated contribution to business development, client relationship management, or opportunity conversion.
• Based in Riyadh or willing and able to relocate there.
• Preferred experience in the GCC region and knowledge of its sustainability and commercial environment.
• Hands-on experience with circular economy, circularity, and waste management.
• Familiarity with water-related topics including strategy, stewardship, efficiency, or risk.
• Understanding of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 standards and climate-related disclosure requirements.
