Job Summary
The AI and Robotics Engineer – Associate at PwC Middle East in Amman, Jordan, works within a multidisciplinary team to develop AI-powered robotic systems and prototypes. The role involves designing, building, and integrating intelligent automation solutions and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver innovative technology demonstrations and client experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and integrate AI-driven robotic systems and automation solutions.
- Create rapid prototypes using robotics, AI, computer vision, embedded systems, and edge computing.
- Convert unclear problem statements into defined technical architectures and plans.
- Research and assess new technologies, robotics platforms, sensors, actuators, and AI models.
- Develop software for robotics including perception, control, navigation, and human-machine interaction.
- Implement computer vision and multimodal AI capabilities with advanced models and frameworks.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, researchers, and business teams to develop solutions.
- Test, validate, troubleshoot, and optimize robotics and AI systems.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in Robotics Engineering, AI Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an innovative mindset.
- Proficiency in Python for AI, robotics, and automation development.
- Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2 and integration of robotic hardware including sensors, cameras, LiDAR, actuators, servos, motor controllers, and embedded systems.
- Knowledge of robotic kinematics, motion planning, control systems, and autonomous navigation.
- Experience with embedded platforms like ESP32, Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, Arduino, or similar.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and modern LLM APIs (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.).
- Strong computer vision skills using OpenCV and modern vision models.
- Experience with Linux-based development environments and Git version control.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including overnight stays.
Nice to haves
- Experience with edge AI deployment and hardware acceleration.
- Familiarity with CAD, digital fabrication, rapid prototyping, and 3D printing.
- Understanding of Docker, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with simulation environments such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Webots, or similar.
