Lead Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing electrical works to ensure compliance with contract documents and procedures manual. This role involves reviewing technical submittals, coordinating pre-installation activities, and managing the inspection and commissioning of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor electrical works for conformance with contract documents and procedures manual
• Review, approve and process ELV and IT technical submittals
• Prepare preliminary answers to RFIs related to electrical works
• Coordinate and supervise pre-installation work of electrical activities and operations
• Review contractor electrical change order proposals and prepare recommendations to Senior Electrical Engineer
• Assist with review of contractor claims related to electrical works and prepare recommendations
• Inspect completed works and monitor start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical systems
• Prepare sign-off packages for completed electrical works with documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 14 years’ experience as Electrical/ELV Engineer
• 3 to 5 years in Construction Administration in the Middle East
• Strong technical background on electrical works
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in AUTO CAD
• Good command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel, Word)
• Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation
• Excellent understanding of specifications
• Good understanding of Authority requirements
