ERP Tech Lead

Job Summary

Aumet is seeking an ERP Tech Lead (Staff Engineer) to own the technical direction of an Odoo-based ERP platform that manages accounting, inventory, purchasing, and POS operations. You will set standards for the engineering team and oversee integrations between Odoo and PHP-based marketplace and pharmacy management systems.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and coding standards across the Odoo ERP codebase
• Own the reliability of integrations between Odoo and PHP-based marketplace and PMS systems
• Raise the bar on defensive engineering for modules handling money, inventory, and regulator-facing APIs
• Review code and mentor the ERP engineering team
• Formalize release and review practices emerging on the team
• Serve as the primary resource for other engineering teams on ERP system behavior

Must haves

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with real technical leadership scope
• Deep, hands-on Odoo experience including ORM, module architecture, migrations, and override patterns
• Solid PHP experience, with ability to work confidently at the Odoo/PHP integration boundary
• Experience with financial or transactional correctness including double-entry accounting, concurrency-safe transactions, and idempotency
• Strong engineering fundamentals in defensive coding, system design, and reasoning about complex, multi-tenant, transactional codebases
• Proven ability to set technical direction and raise a team’s practice

Nice to haves

• Experience integrating with government, regulatory, or healthcare-adjacent APIs
• E-invoicing or tax compliance integration experience
• Prior experience as a de facto or formal technical lead
• Healthcare, pharma, or marketplace domain experience
