We’re hiring a Finance Manager in Amman, Jordan

Our client, an international AI and SaaS company, is looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to own finance across the business.
You will run the finance function end to end, working directly with the founders. You will personally manage the accounts and daily operations, produce reliable financial reports, and keep management informed about cash, performance and upcoming obligations. You will coordinate external tax, legal and payroll specialists where needed.
The company needs someone who has operated the finance function independently.
What you will own
- Accounting and monthly close: maintain the ledger, reconcile bank and payment platform balances, manage accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue, and produce accurate financial statements.
- Billing and collections: translate customer contracts and usage into correct invoices, manage credits and refunds, reconcile customer balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Payments and expenses: check supplier invoices against agreements, manage payables and expenses, track renewals, prevent duplicate payments and prepare supported payment runs for approval.
- Payroll and contractors: check compensation changes, commissions and provider invoices. Reconcile payroll costs, funding, deposits and final settlements.
- Cash and planning: maintain a rolling cash forecast, budget and hiring plan. Track burn, runway, commitments and expected receipts.
- SaaS reporting: maintain supported revenue, retention, gross margin and customer profitability reports, including AI, cloud and voice costs.
- International compliance: own the finance calendar, prepare supporting schedules, coordinate advisers and retain evidence of filings and payments.
- Investor reporting: prepare financial packs, forecasts and diligence materials that reconcile to the underlying records.
- Systems and controls: maintain finance system access, approval controls, documentation and reliable automation. Investigate discrepancies and improve the processes behind them.
What we are looking for
- Strong hands-on accounting experience, including independent ownership of the monthly close and financial reporting
- Experience running finance in a startup, scaleup or lean technology company
- Practical experience supporting multinational entities and working across countries, currencies and payment systems
- Understanding of subscription and usage-based business models
- Strong spreadsheet skills and experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system
- The ability to investigate incomplete records, resolve routine issues and identify decisions that require specialist advice
- Clear professional English and the ability to explain finance to non-finance colleagues
Nice to have
- Experience with Stripe, international payroll platforms and Jordan or GCC operations
- Careful, well-checked use of AI or automation in finance work
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, JCPA or a comparable qualification
Location and working arrangement
Full time and on site in Amman, Jordan. Applicants must currently be based in Jordan.
