VP of Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE)

Job Summary

The VP of Forward Deployed Engineering leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers and data scientists to deploy MOZN’s AI solutions directly within client organizations, ensuring successful production adoption and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and expand a team combining software engineering, data science, and AI expertise.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top technical talent while establishing clear expectations and career development paths.
• Define operational models for team staffing, work prioritization, and delivery measurement.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI solutions from problem definition to production and adoption.
• Set and monitor success metrics with clients to ensure solutions are effectively used.
• Handle escalations, mitigate delivery risks, and balance scope, quality, and timelines.
• Collaborate with Sales and Presales teams to scope engagements and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders and represent MOZN in executive discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8-12+ years in customer-facing technical roles with leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery teams that deploy solutions in client environments.
• Ownership of complex technology deployments from design through production and adoption, preferably involving AI or data platforms.
• Strong technical knowledge in software architecture, systems integration, data, and AI/ML.
• Experience delivering to government or regulated clients, including navigating procurement and compliance.
• Familiarity with deploying solutions in on-premise, private cloud, or restricted settings.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with senior client leaders.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English.

• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering or similar customer-embedded roles.
• Experience founding, scaling, or building teams or technology companies.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and LLM-based production solutions.
• Knowledge of Saudi data, cybersecurity, and AI governance requirements.
