AI-Native Backend Engineer (.NET)

Job Summary

This role involves developing and maintaining backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core, focusing on shipping production features and managing integrations with partners in the insurance technology sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage partner integrations from sandbox environment to live deployment, including building REST or SOAP adapters for insurance processes.
• Integrate payment gateways to handle checkouts, refunds, and payment status updates, ensuring proper reconciliation and triggering policy issuance.
• Implement customer identity features such as registration, sign-in, OTP verification, session renewal, and enforce access control across accounts and APIs.
• Develop backend features including business rules, ASP.NET Core endpoints, MySQL migrations, RabbitMQ consumers, and background jobs.
• Optimize queries and Redis caching to handle increasing traffic.
• Balance feature releases, partner onboarding, and production issue resolution, collaborating directly with partner engineers.

Requirements

• Experience delivering production features with hands-on engineering and project scoping.
• At least 3 years of experience building and operating backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Proven experience in shipping APIs, designing relational data models, and integrating third-party systems.
• Familiarity with tools and systems including C# and ASP.NET Core (.NET 8/10), MySQL HeatWave, RabbitMQ, Redis, GitHub Actions, and Seq.
• Preferred experience in insurance and knowledge of the Saudi Insurance Authority’s regulatory framework related to electronic brokerage and insurer integrations.
