Senior Architect

Job Summary

The Senior Architect at PODIUM Architects in Amman, Jordan, leads architectural projects through all design phases, ensuring high-quality design and technical accuracy. This role requires strong leadership, advanced technical skills, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of architectural concepts, design strategies, and detailed proposals for diverse projects.
• Manage and review 2D architectural drawings and construction documentation.
• Supervise the development of 3D models, visualizations, renderings, and design presentations.
• Oversee projects from concept through construction documentation and tender stages.
• Coordinate architectural design packages for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate architectural permit drawings and submission packages following JEA and local regulations.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination with structural, MEP, interior design, landscape, and other consultants.
• Review materials, finishes, building systems, construction details, and technical specifications to ensure quality and constructability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in architectural design and technical coordination.
• Experience leading architectural projects independently and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape for visualization and rendering.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Knowledge of Jordan Engineers Association requirements, Jordanian building regulations, and Greater Amman Municipality permit procedures.
• Strong understanding of architectural design development, construction documentation, and building methods.
• Experience with architectural tender documentation, shop drawings, material submittals, and construction coordination.
• Excellent design sensibility, visualization, presentation, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and project management abilities.
