Workflow and Information Technology Specialist – Healthcare (Jazan Based)

Job Summary

This role involves acting as a subject matter expert in workflow and informatics within clinical laboratories, focusing on Total Lab Automation (TLA) and informatics solutions to improve lab operations and customer value.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert in workflow and informatics for clinical labs, linking operational needs with platform capabilities including analytics and sample/data flow.
• Collaborate with customers to analyze current workflows and constraints, designing future-state models using Lean and workflow engineering techniques.
• Lead lab assessments covering customer expectations, workflow mapping, lab volumes, and operational bottlenecks, applying Lean Six Sigma practices.
• Provide workflow consulting deliverables such as process maps, layout documentation, and simulation-based recommendations.
• Develop and present proposals and presentations for medium to large healthcare providers using MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and AutoCAD.
• Act as a trusted advisor to ensure solutions are competitive, measurable, and aligned with clinical and operational goals.
• Maintain a customer-facing best practices library for Automation/IT, including rules libraries and automation metrics.
• Support product presentations, demonstrations, end-user training, and participate in key customer meetings related to TLA and Beckman Coulter solutions.

Requirements

• Familiarity with healthcare integration standards such as ASTM and HL7.
• Strong understanding of clinical lab environments, workflows, and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Ability to troubleshoot and consult effectively, balancing technical and operational considerations.
• Strong communication skills to translate requirements between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, SQL, networking, and security concepts.
• Experience in facilitation, presentations, and customer-facing consulting with the ability to lead discovery sessions.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Capability to build long-term relationships and credibility both internally and externally.
• Awareness of laboratory accreditation expectations and evolving policies and technologies affecting lab operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Sciences, Informatics, Biomedical, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the IVD industry, with consultancy and solution selling experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of LIS consulting, technical support, or process management experience.
• Proven experience in tailoring solutions and strategies for clinical/hospital lab account growth.
