Vertical Transportation(VT) Engineer

Job Summary

The Vertical Transportation Engineer will lead the development and management of BIM models for vertical transportation systems such as elevators and escalators, ensuring high-quality digital project delivery within a multidisciplinary design team in Amman, Jordan.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams during design stages to deliver efficient vertical transportation solutions.
• Create coordinated drawings, schedules, sections, and technical documents from BIM models.
• Validate vertical transportation requirements including shaft dimensions, pit depths, and machine room layouts.
• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models using DigiPara, Autodesk Revit, and related BIM platforms.
• Ensure BIM deliverables meet project BIM Execution Plans, Level of Development standards, client needs, and company procedures.
• Create and improve BIM families and parametric content related to vertical transportation systems.
• Support model-based design reviews and conduct quality checks for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate vertical transportation systems with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and public health disciplines to avoid clashes.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience in BIM modelling and coordination, preferably in vertical transportation systems.
• Strong knowledge of EN81 suite, ASME A17, and regional building codes.
• Experience with Common Data Environments such as ACC.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interfacing skills.
• Leadership skills and ability to manage multiple reviews and deadlines.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Competent with Microsoft suite of software.
• Responsive to changing demands and able to rely on extensive experience and judgment.
