Telecom OSS Architect / Designer

Job Summary

The Telecom OSS Architect / Designer leads the architecture and design of complex OSS solutions for telecom clients in Saudi Arabia, bridging business needs and technical delivery within Capgemini Engineering’s Connectivity & Network Engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end OSS architecture and design in Network Inventory Management, Performance Management, and Fault/Event Management, aligning solutions with client objectives and TM Forum frameworks.
• Design and implement Network Inventory solutions covering physical, logical, and service inventory across multi-vendor and multi-technology networks including 2G/3G/4G/5G, Fixed, and IP/MPLS.
• Architect Performance and Fault Management systems focusing on KPI frameworks, threshold management, alarm correlation, and root cause analysis to support proactive network operations.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to translate business and operational requirements into technical specifications, architectures, and documentation.
• Lead OSS integration design, defining interfaces and APIs between OSS and related systems such as BSS, NMS, EMS, and cloud-native platforms to ensure seamless data flow and operations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to OSS engineers and designers, conduct design reviews, and ensure quality and architectural compliance across projects.
• Support pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals, and solution demonstrations to help secure new telecom opportunities in KSA and the Middle East.

Requirements

• 12+ years in telecommunications with strong expertise in OSS architecture, design, and delivery, especially in Network Inventory Management, Performance Management, or Fault/Event Management.
• Hands-on experience with OSS platforms like IBM Tivoli Netcool, Nokia NetAct, Ericsson ENM/ENIQ, Huawei iMAC/U2000, Comarch OSS, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of OSS/BSS integration, mediation layers, and telecom network data modelling.
• Familiarity with TM Forum standards (eTOM, TAM, SID/ODA) and industry standards such as 3GPP, ETSI, IETF, and TMN.
• Experience with integration technologies and APIs including REST/SOAP, TMF Open APIs, OSS/J, XML/JSON, and middleware platforms.
• Ability to produce architecture and design documents such as Solution Architecture Documents, HLDs, LLDs, interface control documents, data flow diagrams, and operational runbooks, and present them to technical and executive audiences.
