Job Summary
AtkinsRéalis seeks an experienced Technical Director to lead the validation and coordination of RIBA 4 / IFT / IFC designs through to construction readiness. The role combines strategic leadership, technical oversight, and business development across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic vision development and align departmental goals with overall business strategy
- Provide technical guidance and oversight on projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and highest quality standards
- Oversee successful project delivery from inception to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers
- Manage the coordination process of contractor shop drawings through SSC and LDC approvals
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and lead proposal and bid preparation with the team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Administer Change Control with commercial awareness
Must haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Building Services, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
- Minimum 20 years of post-graduate experience in engineering
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrable understanding of building services design processes
- Strong technical knowledge of systems and industry standards
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse multidisciplinary team
Nice to haves
- Master’s degree and/or Chartered Status
- Experience in luxury residential and hospitality
- Experience in island development
