Tech Lead

Job Summary

Provide advanced technical leadership and engineering direction across development initiatives while serving as an individual contributor. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for a squad while continuing as an individual contributor
• Define technical approaches, engineering standards, and implementation patterns for assigned products
• Lead technical design and development of complex systems and critical components
• Facilitate squad ceremonies and own team-level delivery cadence and technical planning
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and resolve complex engineering challenges
• Review solution designs, code, and implementations for quality and architectural alignment
• Drive engineering best practices for scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and reliability
• Mentor engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and code reviews without direct people-management accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership of a delivery team
• Deep expertise across backend or frontend engineering with strong breadth across the stack
• Proven experience facilitating Agile delivery within a squad
• Payments, banking, or regulated financial services experience
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Certifications in Cloud Architecture, Software Architecture, or other relevant professional certifications preferred
