Structural Steel Sales Manager

Job Summary

The Structural Steel Sales Manager at Tamimi Structures leads the design, analysis, and engineering delivery of structural steelwork, pre-engineered frames, and tensile structures for landmark projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 3D finite element analysis and structural modeling for long-span steel structures and complex frameworks under dynamic, wind, seismic, and thermal loads.
• Manage design workflows with specialist consultancies and coordinate approvals with clients and third parties.
• Analyze and detail tensioned architectural systems including cable networks and membrane interfaces such as PTFE, ETFE, and PVC.
• Prepare calculation reports compliant with the Saudi Building Code and international standards like AISC, ASCE 7, and Eurocodes.
• Collaborate with Tekla detailing teams to resolve connection geometries, bolt and weld assemblies, and fabrication tolerances for shop production and site erection.
• Perform value engineering and peer reviews to optimize weight, rationalize member profiles, and ensure buildability.
• Provide site support by addressing RFIs, inspecting critical connection mock-ups, and resolving structural technical queries on site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is a plus.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in structural engineering design, especially on large-scale structural steel projects such as stadiums, arenas, airport terminals, or heavy spatial trusses.
• Strong practical knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC).
• Experience with tensile membrane structures and tensioned cable systems is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in structural engineering analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, RFEM/Dlubal, or specialized form-finding software.
• Familiarity with BIM and Tekla workflows.
• Registration or eligibility with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is highly preferred.
