Specialist – Backend Engineer (Python)

Job Summary

This role involves developing scalable Python-based backend services and automation solutions, integrating AI/LLM technologies, and supporting the in-house automation platform at Almosafer.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable Python applications, APIs, and automation services.
• Create and support automation workflows for business and operational needs.
• Enhance and develop the internal automation platform.
• Integrate AI/LLM features and intelligent agents into workflows.
• Work with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, function/tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Develop integrations with databases, APIs, message brokers, and enterprise systems.
• Ensure automation solutions are reliable, scalable, secure, and ready for production.
• Monitor and resolve production issues in automation services and workflows.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of software engineering experience with strong Python development skills.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI/LLM technologies and their integration.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, function/tool calling, structured outputs, and AI agents.
• Experience modernizing or migrating RPA workflows using Python, APIs, or AI is advantageous.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, and software engineering capabilities.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Agile/SCRUM experience preferred.
