Software Engineer Trainee (3-6 months)

Job Summary

This role involves working alongside the development team under senior engineers’ supervision to assist in developing and maintaining software products while learning development processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining product features with the team
• Investigate and resolve assigned bugs with senior guidance
• Write clean and readable code and engage in code reviews
• Test work including expected behaviors and impacted areas
• Support API and database-related tasks as needed
• Document work and communicate progress and obstacles
• Learn the team’s development tools, processes, and best practices

Requirements

• Recent graduate or final-year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
• Basic awareness of common design patterns and their uses
• Understanding of basic data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
• Familiarity with APIs and application communication
• Basic familiarity with Git or other version control tools
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take ownership of tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills
