Senior WordPress Developer

Job Summary

The Senior WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, ensuring performance, responsiveness, and technical SEO. The role involves managing website development, troubleshooting, and analytics in Amman, Jordan.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites focusing on functionality and performance.
• Customize websites using WordPress and Elementor Page Builder.
• Write and modify code in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as needed.
• Manage WordPress themes and plugins and resolve technical issues.
• Handle staging environments, website deployments, hosting, and file management.
• Monitor and improve website performance including caching, loading speed, and Core Web Vitals.
• Implement technical SEO best practices and track website search performance.
• Manage website analytics using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Search Console.
• Perform SEO and website audits with tools like Ahrefs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical solutions for website needs.

Requirements

• Strong skills in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Advanced experience with Elementor Page Builder.
• Good knowledge of WordPress themes, plugins, website performance, caching, and Core Web Vitals.
• Understanding of technical SEO.
• Experience with GA4, GTM, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or related field preferred.
• At least 4 years of professional web development experience with WordPress and PHP.

Working Conditions

• Office-based position in Amman, Jordan.
• Work schedule Sunday to Thursday aligned with US business hours.
