Senior Technical and Business Consultant

Job Summary

This role supports a Health Information Exchange (HIE) project in Riyadh, focusing on FHIR, NPHIES, and healthcare interoperability. The consultant acts as a strategic and technical advisor to ensure alignment of healthcare solutions with Saudi regulatory and digital transformation goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on FHIR standards, HL7 protocols, and healthcare interoperability.
• Guide integration of NPHIES requirements into healthcare systems.
• Collaborate with clients to assess needs, conduct gap analysis, and recommend interoperability and financial workflow solutions.
• Design and review system architectures supporting FHIR data exchange and NPHIES compliance.
• Identify opportunities to optimize healthcare operations and support automation in financial health services focusing on Revenue Cycle & Payors.
• Recommend technologies for scalable and secure healthcare data management, including cloud, APIs, and microservices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation of solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for NPHIES initiatives, providing training and documentation support.

Requirements

• BSc. Degree in Software Engineering, MIS, or Computer Science.
• 8–10 years of experience with at least 5 years in HealthTech.
• Strong technical background in SQL, HL7, and healthcare IT systems including HIE, HIS, and payer-provider platforms.
• Deep understanding of FHIR, HL7, and healthcare interoperability frameworks.
• Experience in software development (.NET, Java, backend/frontend) and solution architecture.
• Knowledge of Revenue Cycle & Payors; familiarity with NPHIES platform and standards is advantageous.
• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, project management, and delivery oversight.
• Fluency in English and mandatory Arabic language skills.
