Senior Structural Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer at Jacobs will lead structural engineering efforts from detailed design to project completion, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements for various structure types.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate structural and infrastructure designs, including calculations, models, drawings, and reports to ensure safety and compliance.
• Analyze structural outputs using software such as SAP2000, SAFE, and ETABS.
• Approve material mix designs for concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Evaluate material testing reports to verify quality and compliance.
• Review geotechnical and soil investigation reports to support design and construction decisions.
• Provide technical support, respond to contractor queries, and assess structural modifications on site.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and codes.
• Lead technical coordination meetings and mentor engineering teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and standards.
• Proficiency with design software and digital 3D modeling tools like Autodesk/Plant 3D and Aveva E3D.
• Experience in project and commercial scope management, change control, vendor management, and technical bid evaluation.
• Skills in leadership, analytical thinking, decision making, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
