Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Job Summary

Build and deliver backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET Core for a compliance and RegTech platform serving financial institutions across MENA and GCC regions.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET Core
• Design and implement reliable data flows using Entity Framework Core and SQL
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Improve code quality through code reviews, testing, and clean architecture practices
• Debug and resolve production issues
• Contribute to decisions on architecture, tooling, and product direction

Must haves

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience with C# and .NET Core
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET and Web API
• Strong SQL skills and database design fundamentals, including Entity Framework Core and Dapper ORM
• Experience with at least one SDLC management tool such as Azure DevOps or Jira
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD workflows

Nice to haves

• Experience with AI-assisted development and machine learning
• Experience with message brokers and distributed systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ
• Understanding of observability and monitoring including logging, metrics, and tracing
