Senior Software Engineer – Android

Job Summary

This role involves developing and maintaining the Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, as well as working with Flutter for shared features. The engineer will handle integration with APIs, testing, performance monitoring, and lead architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop new Android app features in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose from design to release on Google Play.
• Maintain shared features in Flutter ensuring consistency with the native app.
• Convert legacy XML views to Compose and contribute to the UI component library.
• Integrate with GraphQL APIs and real-time market data, managing loading, errors, and offline modes.
• Create unit, UI, and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Monitor app performance, crashes, and ANRs, resolving issues proactively.
• Implement secure coding practices for authentication, biometrics, and sensitive financial data.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to refine requirements and improve user solutions.

Must haves

• 6+ years of professional Android development with at least one app published on Google Play.
• Strong Kotlin expertise including coroutines and Flow.
• Experience building production UIs with Jetpack Compose covering state management, theming, and navigation.
• Practical experience with Flutter and Dart and understanding of when to use native or cross-platform approaches.
• Knowledge of Android architecture patterns (MVVM or MVI), Jetpack libraries, and dependency injection using Hilt or Koin.
• Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs and handling WebSocket or streaming data.

Nice to haves

• Experience in fintech, trading, or crypto applications.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience with charting libraries and real-time price displays.
• Background in app security techniques like certificate pinning, root detection, or obfuscation.
