Job Summary

This role involves maintaining and supporting advanced flight training simulators at Riyadh Air’s new training centre in Saudi Arabia, focusing on software configuration, troubleshooting, system improvements, and certification activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and training for Flight Simulator and Cabin Crew Training Devices, acting as the main contact for complex software, hardware, and performance issues.
• Manage Software Configuration Control for all training devices, including debugging, developing, testing, integrating, and presenting fixes.
• Participate in project reviews, system design assessments, and support software integration and hardware requirements during installations.
• Serve as the primary contact for authorities regarding recurrent evaluations, status reports, and communications.
• Attend technical meetings, evaluation debriefs, and SLA reviews, collaborating with customers, engineers, authorities, and CAE Customer Service.
• Support Service Level Agreements in the Middle East region, including possible international travel.
• Adhere to CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards and safe working procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with CAE software and applications such as CAELIB, STARTEAM, Strive framework, Visual Systems, SIM XXI, Simfinity, Launchpad, and ITMS.
• Proficiency in C, C++, FORTRAN, and scripting languages like Perl.
• Experience with Microsoft development tools for Windows (Visual Studio 6.0 and above).
• Knowledge of simulated systems and avionics interfaces including SIM XXI, CAE R3, R4, R5 technology, and 7000 XR.
• Strong planning, organizational, troubleshooting, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
• Good understanding of Windows environment, PC hardware, software and system architecture, configuration management, flight aerodynamics, and Qualification Test Guide.
• Familiarity with local and international regulations (EASA, FAA) related to Flight Simulator Training Devices.
