Senior Road Engineer

Job Summary

WSP seeks a Senior Road Engineer to lead road infrastructure projects in Riyadh. You will oversee project planning, design, construction supervision, and delivery while managing stakeholder engagement and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and development of road infrastructure projects including alignment studies, geometric design, pavement design, and drainage design in accordance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct feasibility assessments, traffic impact analyses, and risk assessments to inform design decisions and optimize project outcomes.
• Provide technical oversight during construction, conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with engineering specifications and contractual requirements.
• Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and standards.
• Develop and implement traffic management plans and safety measures to minimize disruptions and ensure safety of road users, construction workers, and the public.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and communities to understand their needs and expectations related to road infrastructure projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, tracking progress and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.

Must haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in road engineering with focus on site supervision within the construction consultancy sector.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in road design, construction, and maintenance with understanding of relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and road engineering analysis tools.
• Strong project management skills with ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and deliver successful outcomes.
• Fluency in English.
