Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership (The “Why”)

• Conduct market analysis and monitor the evolving regulatory landscape to identify opportunities.
• Define and own the product roadmap, balancing client needs, regulatory mandates, and business objectives.
• Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy to stakeholders, executives, and the entire market.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Financial Systems, providing insights to guide the company’s strategic direction.

Tactical Execution & Client Engagement (The “What” & “How”)

• Elicit & Analyze Requirements: Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, assess gaps, and understand their compliance workflows.
• Translate into Action: Author clear and comprehensive product documentation, including Product Requirements Documents (PRD), Functional Specifications Document (FSD), and user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
• Own the Backlog: Serve as the Product Owner for an Agile development team—managing, prioritizing, and refining the product backlog to ensure it aligns with the product roadmap.
• Bridge the Gap: Be the primary link between the business/compliance world and the technical development team, ensuring a shared understanding of what to build and why.

Who You Are

Must-Haves (Base Requirements)
CDC Smart Systems is seeking candidates who clearly fit into one of the following

Path 1: Product Professional – Compliance-Focused

A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Product Analyst, Product Owner, or Business Analyst role within RegTech, FinTech, or Financial Services environments.

Path 2: Compliance Professional – Operationally Focused

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in an operational compliance role (such as Compliance Manager or AML Analyst).
• Proven experience acting as a bridge between compliance and technology teams, with direct involvement in system implementations, vendor selection, or translating regulatory requirements into technical solutions.

Core Requirements (for all candidates)

All candidates, regardless of their path, must possess the following

• Compliance Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of financial compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., Anti-Money Laundering, KYC, Transaction Reporting, etc.).
• Requirements Management: Proven experience in requirements gathering, gap analysis, and creating professional documents.
• Agile Proficiency: Hands-on experience managing feature backlogs and change requests, preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools like Jira.
• Multilingual Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English.
• The Translator/Trainer: A natural ability to explain complex regulatory concepts to developers and articulate technical solutions to non-technical clients.

Nice-to-Haves: (A Strong Advantage)

• Formal certification in Agile/Scrum (e.g., CSPO, PSPO) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP).
• Formal certification in compliance (e.g., CAMS – Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist).
• Direct experience working with or for a financial institution.
