Job Summary

The Senior Principal role at Elm Company focuses on providing expert architecture, engineering, and technical implementation for enterprise-scale Data Lakehouse solutions. This includes designing scalable data platforms and big data architectures to support analytics, BI, AI, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the Data Lakehouse architecture strategy aligned with business and technology goals.
• Establish architectural standards, engineering principles, and roadmaps for enterprise data platforms.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging big data technologies to support strategic objectives.
• Maintain and enhance enterprise data catalog information to improve data discoverability and classification.
• Lead development of scalable data pipelines and set standards for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Define performance optimization strategies and resolve bottlenecks affecting data platform scalability and performance.
• Define engineering standards and ensure alignment with governance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and capability development for data engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data Platforms, Data Architecture, Business Intelligence, Analytics Platforms, or related domains.
