Senior Planning Engineer

Job Summary

A Senior Planning Engineer will develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules for construction projects in Riyadh. The role involves analyzing timelines and resources, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring efficient project execution through advanced planning software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and advanced planning software
• Analyze project timelines, resources, and dependencies to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions
• Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate schedule information
• Monitor project progress and report variances between planned and actual performance
• Prepare and present periodic progress reports to stakeholders highlighting milestones and risks
• Conduct resource analysis and optimization for efficient utilization of manpower and equipment
• Assist in developing recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule
• Maintain accurate records of planning-related documents and revisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 12 years of experience in planning engineering for mixed-use building developments
• Proven track record of successful delivery on large-scale construction projects
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Strong knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and AutoCAD
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with detail-oriented approach
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• In-depth knowledge of mixed-use building development processes and regulations
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia
• Understanding of sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
