Senior Functional & Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary

A Senior Functional & Technical Support Engineer who bridges business and technical teams to resolve application and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive system improvements through hands-on technical expertise and business understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical support to business users and operational teams for application, data, functional, and production issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and identify corrective and preventive actions.
• Use SQL / T-SQL for data investigation, validation, troubleshooting, and business logic analysis.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and troubleshooting tools to improve resolution efficiency.
• Use Python, scripting, and automation to eliminate repetitive manual activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, IT, Operations, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
• Support system enhancements, change requests, releases, and production deployments.
• Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and data analysis to support business decisions.

Must haves

• 5+ years of experience in Functional Support, Technical Support, Application Support, Production Support, or Business Analysis.
• Strong understanding of business processes and operational workflows.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL / T-SQL.
• Practical experience with Python, scripting, or automation.
• Strong Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reporting.

Nice to haves

• Experience with ERP / CRM / SaaS / Enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with Business Intelligence / Data Analytics.
• Relevant certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, SQL, Cloud, Data, or Automation.
