Senior Full Stack Engineer

Job Summary

Join the Optimization Team as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own internal tools for Foodics’ sales, operations, and support functions. You will deliver end-to-end products from concept through production, working across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with minimal specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own complete delivery of internal tools from product idea through architecture, implementation, production deployment, and maintenance
• Convert operational and business problems into working software from rough briefs and incomplete specifications
• Build full-stack solutions: React/TypeScript frontends, Node.js/Express backends, and PostgreSQL data layers without handing off components
• Use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar) as productivity tools for meaningful work delivery
• Make pragmatic architecture decisions and document them for team continuity and AI agent handoffs
• Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Secret Manager
• Integrate with internal and external systems (Foodics Pay, Salesforce, Wathq, Metabase) via APIs and webhooks
• Ensure production health through monitoring, incident response, and cybersecurity considerations; mentor other engineers and review pull requests

Must haves

• 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with shipped production systems
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency: React frontend, Node.js/Express backend
• SQL expertise and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Day-to-day fluency with AI coding agents as production tools, understanding their failure modes
• Ability to deliver complete products end-to-end without detailed requirements or product specs
• Comfortable with cloud infrastructure: deployment, secret management, and production service operation; strong English communication; legal right to work in Egypt or Jordan

Nice to haves

• Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager)
• Familiarity with PostgREST, row-level security, and database-level authorization patterns
• Experience integrating with Salesforce, Saudi-specific APIs (Wathq, Nafath), or payment platforms; background in SaaS, FinTech, or operations-heavy companies
• Arabic language skills or open-source contributions and public technical writing
