Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Technical Engineer provides expert electrical engineering support, leads project teams, and ensures the effective design and implementation of electrical systems. They focus on enhancing project safety, efficiency, and innovation while collaborating with stakeholders to meet client and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical system design and development, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Offer technical guidance to engineers, designers, and technicians throughout project phases.
• Perform detailed electrical analyses including load calculations, voltage drop, and short-circuit studies to improve system reliability.
• Review and approve electrical design documentation such as drawings, calculations, and specifications for accuracy.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to evaluate electrical system installation and operation, identifying issues and suggesting corrections.
• Manage commissioning and testing of electrical systems to verify compliance with design and performance criteria.
• Provide technical assistance during construction, troubleshoot electrical problems, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for resolution.
• Keep abreast of new technologies and practices in electrical engineering to incorporate into designs for better efficiency and sustainability.
