Senior Data Science Specialist

Job Summary

Support and expand PayTech Group’s portfolio of regional and global clients by delivering analytical insights, guiding data-driven decision-making, and serving as a strategic partner. The role combines predictive modelling expertise with business acumen to transform complex analytical results into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage deliverable development and workstreams across projects in various industries and problem domains.
• Develop strategies and programs for regional and global clients using data science tools including Test & Learn.
• Serve as a trusted partner to client managers and drive client success through Test & Learn adoption and competency building.
• Provide analytical and technical expertise to support business decision-making.
• Develop sound business recommendations and deliver effective client presentations.
• Plan, organize, and structure work for junior project delivery consultants to identify effective analysis structures and create impactful storylines.
• Contribute to the firm’s intellectual capital and solution development.

Must haves

• 8-10 years’ experience in predictive modelling and advanced data analysis, with ability to design, implement, and validate analytical models.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and automation.
• Proven ability to interpret complex analytical outputs and translate them into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Previous experience in Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or FinTech industry.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation).

Nice to haves

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with SAS.
• Arabic language proficiency.
• Understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• Understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
