Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager – Data Engineer

Job Summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager to design, build, and scale modern data platforms and architectures that support advanced analytics and AI use cases. You will work with clients across the Saudi market to translate business strategies into robust data engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end data engineering solutions across multiple client engagements
• Architect, build, and optimize scalable data platforms and data pipelines for analytics, BI, and AI use cases
• Design and implement modern data architectures, including medallion and lakehouse patterns, across cloud and on-premise environments
• Develop robust data models and pipelines ensuring performance, reliability, security, and governance
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analytics teams to enable AI-driven solutions
• Support data modernization and migration initiatives, including legacy-to-cloud transitions
• Prepare and deliver high-quality client materials including presentations, solution designs, and executive-level narratives
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to EY knowledge assets

Requirements

• 3-7+ years of experience in data engineering and/or Data & AI consulting
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and Python for data engineering use cases
• Proven expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and pipeline orchestration
• Deep knowledge of data architectures, including batch and streaming pipelines
• Experience across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP) and on-premise technologies
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and security principles
• Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
• Strong experience preparing client presentations, business cases, and Data & AI proposals
• Good business and commercial acumen with consulting delivery experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Professional proficiency in English is required
• Arabic language skills are strongly preferred
• Experience with Dataiku and related data science platforms for developing, orchestrating, and operationalizing analytics and AI solutions
• Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment is strongly preferred
• Experience delivering projects within large, complex organizations is an advantage
