Job Summary
Join Romuz to lead the analysis and design of a brand-new, end-to-end Hospital Information System. You will translate complex clinical, administrative, operational, and financial workflows into clear, structured system requirements while collaborating with healthcare professionals, IT teams, designers, and developers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops with hospital stakeholders including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory and radiology teams, and hospital administration.
- Analyze and document AS-IS and TO-BE hospital workflows, including complete patient journeys across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and surgery services.
- Define detailed business and functional requirements for HIS modules including Patient Registration, Appointment Scheduling, Emergency Department, Admission/Discharge/Transfer, Inpatient Management, EMR/EHR, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, Operating Theatre, Billing, Insurance, and Medical Records.
- Prepare BRD, FRD/SRS, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business rules, and functional specifications.
- Create process maps, BPMN workflows, flowcharts, and patient journey diagrams.
- Identify workflow gaps, manual processes, business risks, dependencies, and automation opportunities.
- Support development and QA teams throughout implementation, clarify requirements, and prepare User Acceptance Testing.
- Maintain requirement traceability and manage requirement changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- Strong experience in healthcare IT, HIS, EMR, EHR, or related healthcare solutions.
- Previous experience participating in a complete HIS implementation or major healthcare digital transformation project is highly preferred.
- Experience conducting workshops with doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory teams, radiology teams, finance teams, insurance teams, and hospital management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Health Information Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Biomedical/Clinical Informatics.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end hospital operations and patient journeys.
- Ability to independently conduct requirements workshops with healthcare professionals and translate clinical requirements into detailed software specifications.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum software development teams.
- Fluent English communication skills; Arabic communication skills are a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, DICOM, ICD, SNOMED CT, LOINC, PACS/RIS, and healthcare integrations is highly desirable.
