Senior BIM Engineer / BIM Engineer (Aquatic Design Studio)

Job Summary

WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Engineer or BIM Engineer to join the Aquatic Design Studio in Amman, Jordan. You will coordinate BIM model production, maintain quality assurance standards, and collaborate with creative, engineering, and project management teams while reporting to the Principal.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary BIM point of contact for clients, coordinating model exchanges, leading BIM workshops, and managing RFIs and BEP reviews including ISO 19650 documentation.
• Define and enforce Levels of Detail (LOD 100–350) at each design stage to align outputs with project scope and client expectations.
• Lead BIM model development across disciplines, overseeing Revit MEP and architectural modelling, and integrate projects into BIM 360 (ACC).
• Develop design and installation models for water features, swimming pools (lap pools, vitality pools, hot/cold pools, onsen/mineral pools, Watsu pools) and spa facilities (steam rooms, saunas, hammams, experience showers, ice rooms, salt rooms, heated loungers, ice fountains).
• Conduct regular clash detection assessments and collaborate with specialist consultants on pool and spa-related design models across landscape, MEP, structure, architecture, lighting, and FLS disciplines.
• Prepare and manage BIM 360 / ACC / Aconex submissions, including transmittals, MIDP documents, and document-control checks.
• Coach junior coordinators and technicians in Revit family creation, Dynamo scripting, and WSP standards through quarterly skills reviews.
• Capture lessons learned and pilot automation tools (Dynamo/Revit API), point-cloud integrations, and VR/AR model reviews to advance Aquatic and Spa Design BIM workflows.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of BIM experience on high-end projects, including at least 3 years in a senior or coordination role across MEP, aquatic, or spa design projects.
• Expert proficiency in Revit, BIM 360/ACC, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650 workflows, BEP development, LOD definitions, QA/QC auditing, and regional authority BIM mandates.
• Proven experience leading multi-site production teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent client-facing and presentation skills with ability to translate technical details into clear, actionable outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering, BIM, or a related discipline.
• Experience in thermal cabin or spa design, swimming pool, or water feature projects is a strong advantage.
• Experience with Dynamo scripting is advantageous.
• Autodesk Professional Certification or CM-BIM accreditation preferred.
