SAP Testing Consultant

Job Summary

The SAP Testing Consultant role involves participating in SAP module testing activities, including test case development, execution, and defect reporting, within full life-cycle implementation projects.

Responsibilities

• Review software requirements to ensure clarity and completeness.
• Assist in estimating and planning testing activities.
• Prepare and execute test cases and test data.
• Report defects and prepare test status reports.
• Achieve organizational testing metrics such as productivity and defect removal efficiency.
• Support quality assurance and ensure quality implementation.
• Manage team task lists and monitor team status to meet project milestones.
• Communicate project resource needs and keep project management informed of project direction and client concerns.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in one or more SAP modules.
• Participation in at least one full life-cycle SAP implementation project.
• Understanding of SAP Activate Methodology.
• Ability to use Service Marketplace for ticket creation, note research, and release note review.
• Technical background with knowledge of SAP Application Systems.
• Familiarity with Testing Methodology, SDLC, STLC, and Bug Life Cycle.
• Experience developing and maintaining test suites, test cases, and test data.
• Ability to map test cases to requirements and generate RTM and test results using tools like HP ALM/Quality Center.
• Understanding of Testing Metrics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Knowledge of business processes related to SAP modules and ability to analyze and solve SAP-related problems.
• Consulting skills including teamwork, problem solving, time management, and communication with various stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret requirements and apply SAP best practices.
• Self-management skills to meet project milestones and lead team efforts.
• Leadership skills to enhance project team effectiveness.
• Capability to manage project scope, quality, satisfaction, and profitability.
• Experience in personnel performance evaluation and development planning.
