Remote Junior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

The Junior Machine Learning Engineer will develop and improve AI-driven products by working with datasets, building and evaluating ML models, and collaborating with software engineers to deploy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, test, and assess machine learning models.
• Prepare, clean, and analyze data sets for training purposes.
• Conduct experiments to enhance model performance.
• Assist in deploying and maintaining ML models in production environments.
• Work with software engineers to integrate ML solutions into products.
• Monitor the performance of models and find improvement opportunities.
• Research new machine learning methods and technologies to enhance products.

Must haves

• Strong fundamentals in Python programming.
• Knowledge of key machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Experience with ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Ability to handle data and write clean, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient written and spoken English communication.
• At least 1 year of experience in machine learning, software engineering, data science, or related fields, or strong personal/academic ML projects.

Nice to haves

• Experience with large language models (LLMs).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience using SQL.
• Experience in deploying ML models.
• Participation in AI/ML projects, research, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
