About PV Designer role

This PV Designer role is ideal for professionals who enjoy designing efficient solar systems and working on real, implemented projects.
You’ll design residential solar systems end-to-end, from layout to permit-ready packages, working closely with US-based teams.

Key Responsibilities of the PV Designer

• Design customized solar PV systems based on home layouts, energy consumption, and site conditions.
• Create detailed layouts, stringing plans, and single-line diagrams.
• Prepare complete permit-ready design packages.
• Select system components including modules, inverters, mounting systems, and batteries.
• Perform shading analysis and production simulations using tools like Helioscope and PVsyst.
• Ensure all designs comply with NEC and local US regulations.
• Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams.

Requirements for the PV Designer Role

Essential

• Strong English communication skills (you will work directly with US clients and teams).

Core Qualifications

• Solid understanding of solar PV systems and electrical fundamentals.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as a PV Designer in residential solar projects.
• Experience in residential solar design is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Helioscope, SketchUp, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Clear communicator with the ability to explain technical decisions.

Work Setup

• Fully remote (based in Jordan).
• Working hours aligned with US time zone (Texas).

Compensation

• Junior PV Designer: 750 – 850 JOD.
• Senior PV Designer: up to 1200 JOD.
