Job Summary

Strategic advisor to client leadership defining automation and AI scope for large-scale AI data centers exceeding 1 GW capacity. The role translates strategic objectives into technical requirements, coordinates design and technical reviews, and integrates automation into project management and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Capture strategic objectives from client leadership and translate them into automation and AI requirements for AI data centre campuses
  • Support establishment of Central Command Centre managing BACnet/Command Centre Networks, Incident Management, and Cybersecurity
  • Develop strategic automation documents including Technology Reference and AI development roadmaps
  • Organize and facilitate design and technical review sessions, capturing and resolving comments from client, designers, and operators
  • Integrate automation milestones, deliverables, and risks into PMC schedules, dashboards, and risk registers
  • Report progress and issues to client governance forums in non-technical language focused on impact and decisions required
  • Coordinate reviews across designers, operators, and vendors to develop comprehensive roadmaps for AI system implementation
  • Embed automation into PMC controls and reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 20+ years in technology infrastructure and automation projects
  • 10+ years in mission-critical data centre environments
  • 5+ years with AI data centres or hyperscale facilities (500MW+ capacity)
  • Proven track record in PMC or advisory roles supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience translating executive strategy into technical requirements and roadmaps
  • Deep knowledge of data centre automation: BMS, DCIM, integrated control platforms
  • Expertise in BACnet protocols and command centre network architectures
  • Understanding of AI infrastructure requirements at facility and campus levels
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and incident management for critical infrastructure
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL) preferred
  • Direct experience with 1GW+ data centre campus developments preferred
  • Background with hyperscale clients (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta) preferred
  • Experience with AI/ML infrastructure deployments preferred
